Assistant Directors of Study
The role of Assistant Director of Study is similar to that of a Head of Year role in school. The Assistant Directors look after students’ pastoral needs, including the monitoring of attendance, students’ work output, discipline and any personal needs that students have during their time spent at the College, including help with their University or employment applications. The Assistant Directors are also responsible for the College’s PSHE Tutorial programme, which takes place once a week and is administered through the Personal and Progression Tutors.
Tutorial Programme
The College’s Tutorial programme is a comprehensive programme, covering a variety of topics such as Careers Guidance, Environmental Issues and University and job applications. The programme also incorporates a number of events.
Tutors take responsibility for the general welfare and progress of a group of students, whom they meet on a weekly basis. Your Tutor is your first point of contact and can provide support and, if necessary, seek further assistance on your behalf.
