Gorseinon College is well known as a provider of high quality education and training in the Performing Arts.  Since the introduction of performance-related courses in 1986, students have participated in high quality theatre performances in Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre in a wide range of professional venues.

Courses include the BTEC First Diploma, National Diploma, National Certificate and A Levels.  The work of highly qualified and experienced staff is often supplemented by a regular series of workshops, seminars and master classes, given by leading practitioners.  Students enjoy the environment provided by purpose-built teaching and rehearsal facilities..

An outstanding feature of the work within Performing Arts is the support and guidance which students are given in preparation for specialist performance colleges and conservatoires. Each year, a high number of students are successful in gaining places at some of the most prestigious institutions.

Over many years, the College has been acclaimed by Estyn Inspectors for the quality of Performing Arts provision, having been awarded a Grade 1 following each of the last three inspections.

‘Gorseinon College... rightly regarded as a centre of excellence for anyone seeking a theatrical career.’  (South Wales Evening Post)
