The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is based at the Belgrave Road campus and enables students to study in their own time and at their own pace. Qualified and experienced staff ensure that the LRC provides a friendly and relaxed environment, conducive to study, as well as catering for most students’ learning styles. The LRC is equipped with a wide selection of materials to support students’ learning. In addition to books, the LRC stocks journals, newspapers, CDs and DVDs, as well as enabling students to access the Internet.
The LRC also subscribes to a number of online datasets, accessible via the web. This enables students to access quality learning resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the comfort of their home PC.
All students, whatever their mode of attendance, are encouraged to join the LRC. Membership is free and entitles students to use the College network.
Our opening hours during term time are:
Monday and Friday: 8.45 am - 4.30 pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8.45 am - 7.30 pm Gorseinon College LRC is a member of SWAP - South West Area Partnership. All College students can now borrow books from any partner library, including universities, in South West Wales. See website www.swapcymru.co.uk for further details.
