Gorseinon College has held a Multi Cultural Week, with a wide range of stalls and performers contributing to its success. This is the second Multi Cultural event Gorseinon College has held and it is now established as an annual event in the College calendar.
"Last year’s event was so successful, students and staff wanted it repeated this year”, says the College's Head of Equality, Mark Harding. “The event is an exciting opportunity for all students and staff to celebrate diversity and learn about different religions and beliefs. It also gives the College the opportunity to work with external organisations and communities."
During the final day, the College Single Equality Scheme was launched, with Principal, Nick Bennett, presenting a copy to College President, Martin Caton, MP. Gorseinon College is committed to Diversity and Equality and this has been highlighted by Estyn following its inspections of March 2007 and March 2009.
